Refined Sugar Free Tie-Dyed Marshmallow 's

JoAnna's Tie-Dyed Refined Sugar Free Marshmallows
(Gaps & Paleo Friendly)

(**Marshmallow Recipe Adapted from : Alton Brown: alton brown/homemade-marshmallows

So for Easter this year I really wanted to make some candy last Minuet for my kids ! :) So i had a bottle of good quality Maple Syrup on hand and decided what if I could make Marshmallows with just ________________well here goes............. :) I did and they were more than fantastic they were a MASTERPIECE!  :) HEHEHEHE

Second try allot better :D
**Prepare a 9x13 and grease with your favorite greaser lol :) I used Earth Balance but coconut oil or so would work great too!

3 Tab of All grass fed Beef Gelatin of what i used ;) Im sure you can use Knox if you wish. or for a VEGAN OPTION us 1 tsp and 1/2 of Xanthum Gum.

1/2 cup of water
1/4 tsp of Sea Salt
1 Tab 1/2 of Pure Vanilla Extract
2 Cups of Maple Syrup-Real ( i used Kirkland Brand from Costco)
1/4 tsp cream of tartar

For the Tie-Dyed look- Red / yellow/ & Blue (or the colors you wish to use)
Indian Tree Decorating Set
----------------------------------------------------------
In a bowl combine the Gelatin and the water and set aside whisk a bit to  incorporate.

I used my big stainless steel pan just to be on the safe side I don't want any sweet boiling hot goodness getting on me lol

and I added the maple syrup and the salt and cream of tartar  stir-ring frequently heat to 250 degrees  on Medium High heat, If you don't have a Candy Thermometer Like mine got lost a-while back lol, I just took a cup of cold water in a small cup and when the candy solution starts boiling drop a little bit into the cold water and when it starts hardening up into a solid thread or substance then its ready....l this will take about 10 to 15 min. Remove from heat promptly.
add to the bowl of water and Gelatin which has jelled about now and whisk together then add to your Kitchen aid bowl (or hand beater) and Beat on HIGH for about 15 min add the vanilla :)

It should be nice and fluffy like clouds heheh :)

Pour into your prepared 9X13 dish and spread evenly with a greased or watered spatula.

then take  your food coloring of choice I used the Indian Tree above and follow the 9x13 down the log way with each color...

so drops of blue , drops of red and drop of yellow and then take a toothpick and SWIRL In a circle until you reach the end of each colored "drop line" work quickly because your Mallow is starting to set already..........should be set in 4 -5 hours or overnight :)
Cut into Blocks :) like this :) and Enjoy!

Or place em on a stick like this!! :D :) Marshmallow Pops! :)
