Pregancy Aids -Natural and a great RecipeGinger Tea

Pregancy Aids -Natural and a great RecipeGinger Tea

I buy ginger root from the health food store or you can get it from your local grocery store.

To determine the freshness by breaking off a piece. The skin should be tight and when you break a piece,
it should snap off. Do not purchase if its  weak, and  soft and doesn’t have a crisp, clean break, its old and should not be eaten.
Wash and Peel the ginger

Break or cut off a piece about the size of your thumb and slice it thin , or Grate it in.

 To make ginger tea:

1 – Put the ginger slices in a pot of water and turn up the heat until it boils. As soon as it boils, take it off
the heat and let it cool for 5 – 10 minutes. Add Ice if you prefer Ice Tea!! :)

I love to add some fresh Lemon or Lime Juice and some Stevia in the Raw as a natural sweetener, I even add fresh Mint the mint helps too !! :) But make it according to your favorite tastes or your babies lol if you are consuming this for morning sickness :)

So lets start with diet:
may help relieve morning sickness:

  • Eat frequent smaller meals, so that you are never too hungry or too full at one time
  • Avoid fatty or fried foods
  • Keep crackers, bread or toast, cereal, or other bland foods handy. Try eating a few crackers before getting out of bed in the morning.
  • Identify any triggers and avoid them
  • Make sure you are drinking enough fluids, especially if you have been vomiting. Try drinking in between meals rather than with meals, which some women find helpful.
  • Ive found things with allot of natural water in them, like Watermelon, Cucumbers , grapes so forth :)

  • Acupuncture has been shown to help gals out as well :)

Another Great Approach that I can definelty vouch for with a few of my pregnancies is VITAMIN B-12~

Check with your healthcare provider beforehand. She or He  can tell you how much to take and whether or not the amount in your prenatal vitamin should count as one of the doses. (The amount of vitamin B6 in prenatal supplements varies.)
However, the dose commonly recommended for easing nausea and vomiting is much higher – 10 to 25 mg, three times a day. To reach this amount, you'll need to take B6 supplements

Don't take more B6 than your caregiver recommends. Too much can cause numbness and nerve damage for you and may not be safe for your developing baby.

     Peppermint Essential Oil

The aroma of peppermint can help a queasy stomach. Fill a large bowl with hot water. Place two drops of peppermint essential oil in the bowl and place it on a table near your bed. Make sure it is in a safe area so there is no risk of it being knocked over. Or use an aromatherapy diffuser, Like I have I am A Young Living Distributor and I always diffused my Peppermint oil,  which can be ordered through me :)  So let me know if you are interested in any of Young Living's Amazing Oils or products! http://www.youngliving.com/en_US/index.html
